FREE wellbeing sessions for GIS members this weekend

April 1, 2025

Members of Northumbria Police Federation’s Group Insurance Scheme can take part in a FREE wellness session courtesy of Sirens Wellness CIC.

Sirens Wellness CIC is running two of its sessions at Longsands Beach, Tynemouth on Saturday 5 April at 8.30am and 10.45am.

The sessions involve breathwork, positive and anchoring meditation, barefoot beach sauna alternating with cold water therapy in the sea – but you don’t have to go in the sea – and a drink of cacao to finish.

Members are invited to take part on their own, or with a partner, friend, or even a team. It costs £25 to non-group insurance scheme members.

Sirens Wellness CIC was set up by former Northumbria Police Federation member Detective Sergeant Jacqui Croskery.

It uses alternative and adventure activities to support emergency service workers with their mental and physical health.

Sirens Wellness CIC is working with the Federation Group Insurance Scheme for a third year to provide its popular Breath, Sauna, Sea beach wellness sessions.

Jacqui said: “It’s two hours of total chill.”
