On Duty Incidents

As a subscribing member of the Police Federation, you are eligible to access free legal advice if the allegation against you is classed as Gross Misconduct or is of a criminal nature and is made whilst you were performing the role of a on duty police officer.

Northumbria Police Federation have a team of volunteer federation representatives who are trained at a national level and managed by myself as the Conduct and Performance Liaison Officer (CaPLO). These representatives will provide advice, guidance and support should you be served with a Regulation Notice and take you through the investigation and interview process as well as any subsequent hearings or meetings. In addition, they can also provide advice and guidance should you be approached as a witness during a PSD/IOPC investigation. You should contact your local representative without delay should you be served with a Regulation Notice or asked for a response to an allegation
